All, I typically do not send out this type of an e-mail, but it is about a website that SallieMae has developed to sign a petition to help project our/my job.
If you feel it is appropriate for you- please log in to the website listed and sign the petition. We are attempting to get 200k signatures by Tuesday!!
I really appreciate your help!!
John
Today we launched a NEW part of our highly successful grassroots campaign to help our members of Congress understand the valuable services we provide students and the importance of our jobs.
Many of you have asked how you can engage if you live or work in a state where we have not launched this effort. Now all employees and their friends and family can support this effort by signing the petition at www.ProtectLocalJobs.com.
Anyone concerned about protecting student loan jobs across the country and the valuable services we provide students are encouraged to sign.
The results at each of our locations have been quite impressive. Our 2,300 colleagues in Fishers and Muncie collected more than 81,000 signatures. Our 700 colleagues in Florida collected more than 23,000 signatures; our 900 colleagues in Pennsylvania collected more than 31,000; 600 colleagues in Delaware collected more than 22,000 signatures and Sallie Mae’s 1,000 colleagues spread across rural communities in Upstate New York collected more than 10,000 signatures.
This campaign to protect jobs and the related news stories are making a difference. Please take the time to distribute this new Web site far and wide: www.ProtectLocalJobs.com. Thank you in advance for your support of this important initiative.
Participation in grassroots activities is entirely voluntary and no employee will be advantaged or disadvantaged by the decision to participate or not.
As America’s Saving, Planning, and Paying for EducationSM company,
Sallie Mae unlocks the power of potential by helping students and their families invest in education.
