If we're speaking specifically about this scripture which applies to the regenerated and not to every single person in the world--yes it is God's <STRONG>sovereign will</STRONG> that all things whether perceived "good" or "evil" will be used to conform the individual into the image of Christ. <br>

Courtney, thanks for your point last night about Pharoah's hardened heart. I was thinking about that last night and awoke this morning with a thought about God's judgment. Whenever God hardens people--i.e. Pharoah's heart or the Canaanites who were hardened as described in the book of Joshua and so on...the hardening in this case was meant as God's judgment against the vessels created for destruction whether through the plagues (Egypt) or the Israelites going in to annihilate the Canaanites. God shares His imminent judgment against Egypt and the Amorites in the book of Genesis when He makes the covenant with Abram... So the emphasis isn't so much about God allowing sin but His judgment on a group of people whose sins have reached "completion?" Let me know what you think? I'm just rambling ... :)<br>
