<DIV><FONT face="comic sans ms" size=5>Hello, Everyone!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" size=5></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV>We just came home with Miriam Esther (Mia) today! (Wednesday!) <IMG src="http://mail.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/21.gif"></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>She was born yesterday morning at 9:33 am after 3 hours of labor...1 hr. and 15 min. at Kings Daughters... When we first arrived at the hospital, they told me I was in early labor and almost sent me home! My contractions were less than a minute apart...very intense, and they still talked about sending me home because I was only a "3"!</DIV>
<DIV>...Less than a minute later my water broke...really broke...and they checked me again...I was a "6"...10 or so minutes later, the doctor arrived...I was a "9", and 30 minutes later she was born! Her chord was wrapped around her neck...thankfully they took care of it quickly, and she's doing quite well! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>She weighed in at <STRONG>7lbs. even...19 inches...</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Looks like her daddy...As all of our children do...especially at birth! </DIV>
<DIV>A full head of black hair! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>She had a little trouble nursing at first...She had low blood sugar which they expected because of my gestational diabetes...That bottle of sugar water they gave her in the nursery is SO MUCH easier to gulp down than mommy's colostrum, so she had some frustration yesterday with all the work she had to do to get nourishment from me, but last night, she started to nurse much better, and today has been better yet! </DIV>
<DIV><BR>We praise God for "Mia"... We are all so happy! Abby and Luke are so cute with her! Daddy is so proud! Even Luke cried tears of happiness today when we got home with her...It seems like it's been a very long wait since we found out just after New Years Day...Yet she was born almost two weeks early...Her due date was Sept. 15th...We're so glad she's here!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Blessings!</DIV>
<DIV>Love,</DIV>
<DIV>Jaime, Jen, Abby, Luke, & Miriam!</DIV>

It would be wonderful to bless the Madrids with meals for the next few days. Austin and I are doing tonight's meal and when I am over there, I will ask what days work best (maybe we can sign up for every other day or so). Be thinking about whether you can help and I will email out dates for sign up soon.<BR>love,<BR>jessica<BR><BR>
