<div><br></div><div>I decided that my only option was public transportation. Unfortunately I had never ridden public transportation before so I made several mistakes. After hours of riding a bus, I ended up at a hotel that was the right brand but the wrong location. I ended up taking a cab ($$$) to the north side of town. I order pizza for dinner and proceeded to pass out (not literally) on the bed and wake up 4 hours later. I did make it to the job fair, but I didn't get a job. The only promising job offer was a web developer working on porn websites. I decided that maybe that wasn't the best profession for a seminary student. I did manage to find us an affordable apartment settled nicely among adult gift shops and strip joints where we lived for three years.</div>

Jennifer is stranded (sort of) in Chicago. A series of errors and miscommunicatons has left Jennifer without a way to rent a car to get her to her final destination in Wisconsin. We spent all of Sunday trying to get her and the rental car company some information so that she could get a car but Texas DPS was closed so they could not provide proof of eligibility for her. So she stayed at a hotel at Ohare Sunday night. Monday DPS informed us that she did not have a valid license(..That is a very long story and where our problems started, so I will skip that for now..) so she could NOT rent a car. We then spent hours trying to get airline information so that she could fly to Green Bay. We got conflicting information and Jennifer especially got the runaround at the airport. Eventually we decided that she should rest from the stress of the day and spend tonight at another airport hotel tonight and take a bus to Green Bay tomorrow. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px;"> </div><div style="margin: 0px;">Tonight we joked that she should take a train at some point so that she could check off Planes, Trains, and automobiles. She might have trouble tomorrow at the bus stop because their systems are down and we are not sure they will have her online reservation ready in the morning. Did I mention that Mia is with Jennifer? Jen says that Mia is being a real trooper and only breaking down when it seems reasonable. There are so many details that I have left out and a few failings on my part to be a comforting and helpful resource. I feel very powerless and helpless so I know my fustration has been showing to her. Money is an object so the easiest solution has not always been possible. Even with trying to pick the least costliest option we are out considerable monies trying to get Jennifer "home". Desperate traveling is expensive traveling. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px;"> </div><div style="margin: 0px;">Please pray for Jennifer and Mia. They still have to get to Wisconsin and still have the visit with her grandmother and will be at the mercy of others to get around. Pray for me to be a source of shelter and refuge for Jennifer.</div>
