[Onebrother] super bowl party

I will bring some Texas Trash/Nuts and Bolts and some sort of cookie or pie.  
Are there any nut allergies in the group?
Sounds like a good Idea, but I will be only able to be there for an hour or so 
as I will have to get back to work.

Subject: [Onebrother] super bowl party

Hey guys,

We meant to talk about this yesterday and forgot.  Next week is Super Bowl 
Sunday so we were thinking that we would have a Super Bowl party as a small 
group.  Since this is generally an activity that many people in our culture 
enjoy- how about we use this as an opportunity to invite friends to a relaxed 
and informal get-together where they could meet people from our church?  I 
personally have gone from someone who despised and disdained football to someone 
who enjoys watching it now- largely because it's an activity my boys enjoy and 
as I did it to be with them, I found that there were things to enjoy and 
appreciate about it.  Funny how the people we love can shape us!  Regardless of 
your personal feelings about football and large commercial television events, 
let's practice what we learned about being for the world instead of against it.

In the Robinson house, we have made a tradition of the Super Heath Bowl party 
because Heath's birthday is Feb. 3.  We hope that you will join us Sunday at 5 
and invite your friends!  Please do not think of bringing a gift for Heath, but 
do feel free to enjoy some cake with us and rub in the fact that he will be 
36!!!!!!!

Logistically this means several things:

We will not do the study this week.
We will not have anyone doing childcare, although children are welcome.
We will not have a meal, but ask that everyone bring some sort of snack, drink, 
or dessert to share (chips, dip, sandwich tray, cookies, etc).  Please reply to 
the group with what you will bring so we can have a good variety.
Feel free to invite as many people as you want!
