Hi All,
I  have a great praise!  My mom has been undergoing tests for shortness of 
breath with very mild exertion.  She had had a somewhat positive stress test a 
year ago and had a different sort a week ago that was abnormal too.  When she 
called me on Sunday to ask for help because of worse shortness of breath I sent 
her to the emergency where she was soon admitted for observation, monitoring and 
more tests.  Monday after many interviews, they decided to do a heart cath. They 
felt that she had a 40% chance of getting a stent; 40% open heart surgery; 10% 
too severe to do any surgery or stent and only 10% chance of being normal.  With 
her symptoms, I really discounted that last option but I am happy to inform you 
all who have been praying that the cath revealed no heart vessel disease, valve 
disease or diastolic dysfunction!  

They continue to evaluate with a focus now on some  lung problem but this is a 
huge relief.  

I really appreciate your prayers - as she sat planning her funeral and going 
over her affairswith me  it would have been very easy to lose sight of God's 
providential sovereignty in her affairs and mine and despaired.  I struggled 
with fear of the future the night before.  Sometimes God brings us again to a 
place where we recommit to trust Him and His sufficiency regardless what 
happens.  He is good to remind us.  And what a great blessing this was to me - I 
guess I'll have to put up with the old girl for a few more years!
As I leave for Boston to attend a professional meeting, I thank God for you all 
- and our church which has become a place to be REAL (bare spots and all) and 
where we  really get involved in each others struggles and joys.
